At YUUGEN, we want your experience with our handcrafted Japanese works to be deeply satisfying. Every piece is created with care and authenticity, and we will do our utmost to assist should you encounter any issues with your order.
Cancellations
If your order has not yet been packed or shipped, you may cancel it for a full refund. Please contact us as soon as possible at support@yuugen.art with your order details.
Once your order has been packed or shipped, cancellations can no longer be accepted. However, you may still return your item(s) after receipt under the conditions below.
Please note that original shipping charges (if applicable) are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
Customized, personalized, or made-to-order items cannot be canceled once production has begun. Examples include:
- Special-order items not listed on our website
- Personalized inscriptions, glazes, or finishes
- Business-to-business (B2B) or bulk orders
Returns
YUUGEN accepts returns within 30 days of the delivery date.
To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused, in its original condition, and in the original packaging.
To initiate a return, please contact us at support@yuugen.art with your order number and photos of the item. Once approved, we will provide detailed instructions for returning the item.
Non-returnable items include:
- Gift cards
- Custom or made-to-order items
- B2B or wholesale purchases
Please note: Returns sent without prior authorization may not be accepted.
Exchanges
We only replace items if they are defective or damaged upon arrival.
If your item is damaged during delivery or shows a defect within 10 days of receipt, please contact us immediately at support@yuugen.art and include photographs of the issue.
Once we confirm the defect or damage, we will offer a replacement or refund. If the item is no longer available (e.g., limited edition or discontinued), we will refund your purchase instead.
Shipping costs for returns and redelivery will be covered by YUUGEN if the product is confirmed defective, damaged, or incorrect.
Refunds
Once your returned item is received and inspected, we will notify you by email.
If your refund is approved, it will be processed automatically to your original method of payment.
- Credit/Debit Card: Refunds typically take up to 10–30 business days depending on your card issuer.
- PayPal or Shopify Payments: Refunds are usually processed within 3–5 business days.
Refunds apply only to the product price. Shipping charges and taxes collected by local authorities (for international orders) are non-refundable unless the return was due to our error.
For U.S. orders shipped Delivered Duty Paid (DDP), customs duties and import taxes are included in your total payment and will be refunded in full.
For orders shipped outside the United States, duties and taxes collected by local customs are not refundable, as they are not charged by YUUGEN.
Delayed or Missing Refunds
If you haven’t received your refund yet:
- Check your bank account again.
- Contact your credit card company — it may take additional time before your refund is officially posted.
- If you’ve done all of this and still have not received your refund, please contact us at support@yuugen.art.
