A sculptural ceramic figure from Kōbeigama's celebrated Egyptian Gods series, Taweret is rendered in her classical hippopotamus form—revered as a symbol of motherhood and the protector of the home and childbirth.

Kōbeigama's signature blue glaze is applied in four to five layered coats, fired, then finished with hand-applied gold accents and fired once more—a meticulous, time-honored process carried out entirely by master artisans.
