A sculptural ceramic figure from Kōbeigama's celebrated Egyptian Gods series, Thoth is rendered in his classical baboon form—revered as the god of wisdom, venerated by scholars and keepers of sacred texts.

Atop his head rests an ornament representing the sun and moon in balance—a quiet detail that grounds the piece in myth and meaning.

Kōbeigama's signature blue glaze is applied in four to five layered coats, fired, then finished with hand-applied gold accents and fired once more—a meticulous, time-honored process carried out entirely by master artisans.
